Solving bird problems at
Lakeshore Plaza, Salt Lake City, UT
|
|
Lakeside Plaza in Salt Lake City, Utah was treated
to prevent an annual bombardment by thousands of swallows. The
humane bird control product installation involved using a 60 boom
lift to attach bird netting to the upper corners of the building
overhang to provide a barrier denying the pest birds a suitable
nesting site.

The bird netting can be installed many different ways, with different
attachments depending on the configuration of the building and
its substrate (material that is used to make the building).
Shown here is a closeup of commonly used, low-profile corner and
intermediate attachments, along with the cable structure with 2" pigeon-sized
bird net attached. At the Lakeside Plaza bird control installation,
a smaller mesh size bird net was used to create an impenetrable
physical bird barrier.
